This is an excellent introduction to Haydn, a well-written account. It is easy to see why Haydn was so well-loved. Not only a musical genius, the tremendous creative stamina, but also kind and generous. Beethoven seems to have had to work hard to create conflict with him. Made me want to go back and listen to Haydn's string quartets and symphonies and vocal works in order.Product details

Is too short. Never the lest it is a good one to have a summary notice of the life and music of Haydn. But that is all. I mean it is not a deep inmersion in the life and works of Haydn in any of his details. It gives a linear description of his life and music.
